Whole Body Cryotherapy

Have you heard of whole body cryotherapy utilizing liquid Nitrogen?  I have been referring athletes to go into these machines and have seen significant results with regards to chronic swelling diminishing drastically in just 1-2 visits.

These cryotherapy machines utilize liquid nitrogen and a patient stands in this machine for 3 minutes at temperatures as low as -250 degrees farenheit.  The purpose of this low temperature is to stimulate the sympathetic nervous system by the skin’s cold receptors, causing severe vasoconstriction, followed by rapid vasodilation.  This results in inflammation throughout the body being removed.
